Maulana Omair Awan was among the initial enrollees to join when Madinatul Uloom opened its doors in 2011. At the time, he already held a degree and worked in the government sector. He was taught under the scholastic guidance of Mufti Yusuf ibn Yaqub, Mufti Asif Iqbal, Mufti Aziz-ur-Rahman, Shiekh Yaqub Al’Dehlawi, and Mufti Muhammad Saleh among other distinguished luminaries. Maulana Omair graduated the six-year Alim program in 2016 with an astute focus in Islamic Fiqh (Jurisprudence). In 2017, he was among a select few to attain a Sanad in the Sunan of Ibn Majah from the renowned Shiekh Mohammed Samer Al-Nas of Syria.
Today, Maulana Omair teaches Islamic Fiqh to the current students of Madinatul Uloom, with a focus in Mukhtasar al-Qudoori, a celebrated and influential kitaab of Hanafi Fiqh.
In his other endeavors, Maulana Omair is a tenured Systems Analyst, holds a degree in Accounting and a Professional Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Harvard University. Soon, Maulana Omair intends to pursue his postgraduate studies at Madinatul Uloom in the Ifta program.
